Connecticut Foodshare

Connecticut Foodshare is the state's largest hunger-relief organization and the food bank serving all of Connecticut. Formed in 2021 through the merger of Foodshare and the Connecticut Food Bank, the organization distributes more than 35 million pounds of food every year.

Working with a network of nearly 600 partner food pantries, soup kitchens, shelters, and meal programs, Connecticut Foodshare reaches families in all eight counties. Beyond distribution, the organization runs mobile food pantries, a SNAP outreach program, and nutrition-education initiatives designed to address the root causes of food insecurity.

Volunteers are essential to the operation — from sorting and packing at the Wallingford distribution center to staffing mobile pantry sites across the region.
